The South Australian

''The South Australian'' was a newspaper published in Adelaide from 5 November 1844 to 19 August 1851. It was published on Tuesdays and Fridays. Printed and published by Andrew Murray at Rundle Street, Adelaide. The paper had been founded in 1838 as ''The Southern Australian'' and renamed in 1844, though retaining the numbering of the original name. Initially the paper was priced at 6d, which was reduced to 4d in 1850 and reduced again to 3d in 1851.
